To all the people who are present here, my elders, my fellow cousins, friends, and my brothers and sisters, to everyone, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my grandpa’s day much better.

Many people have often said Umkhulu Wam’ is strict and doesn’t tolerate nonsense; he is the type of person to call a spade a spade and not dilute the truth. But the far greater truth is that lodged deep within his heart is abundant love—love for his church members, his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He is a man that I can count on in my times of trouble, and he will always show up. He is not a man who has much, but as your favorite grandchild, I would like to tell you that you are everything to me, everything I could ever need and more. Your prayers and teachings have kept us protected. I couldn’t be happier being part of a family that prays. Because of your prayers, I know that wherever I go, I will always be favored and loved. I will always stand out in a crowd of people, not because I am special, but because I have been blessed enough to have a number of prayer warriors backing me up. I enjoy having intellectual discussions with nomkhulu wam, who has to be one of the smartest Mkhulus I know.
